Elizabeth Tait

Founder

Elizabeth Tait, founder of Education2You is an experienced primary school teacher.

Her teaching career spans over 25 years across Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (children aged between 4 and 12 years of age).

Elizabeth has a degree and post-graduate Certificate in Education from Manchester Metropolitan University and enhanced DBS status. Her qualified teaching status is registered at the Department of Education with the reference number: 92/55685.

Elizabeth’s early career began in Cheshire and later in Scotland, teaching in Edinburgh, Fife and West Lothian. In Scotland, she had the opportunity to teach 11 – 12-year olds (Y7), as children do not attend secondary school until they are 12. Whilst in Scotland, Elizabeth met her husband and once married, relocated to Surrey for employment in 2000.

In 2001, Elizabeth’s first child was born and a second followed in 2003. As a mother of two young children, Elizabeth worked as a supply teacher undertaking short and long-term contracts to fit around her family. In 2005, Elizabeth completed a ‘Return to Teaching’ course at Roehampton University to update her skill-set.

Elizabeth always aimed to work for herself by starting her own business. She established Education2You in 2017 to provide private tutoring and educational support to parents. As an independent teacher, she has great flexibility and provides continuous education to children throughout their primary school years.

In 2019, she entered the home education market having had personal experience of home educating her son, and now teaches lessons in the daytime to various groups of children in the home education community. She listens to the parents and adapts lessons to meet their requirements.

Specialist Maths and English Tuition

English and mathematics are two fundamental subjects at school that play pivotal roles in shaping a well-rounded education.

English

A safe haven for the anxious child

We understand the anxious child and how anxiety impacts their confidence, learning and academic progress. As compassionate and patient tutors we help support the student and their family to ensure education can be delivered in a safe and nurturing haven.

Home Schooling

Home schooling offers a variety of benefits for students, including a stress-free learning environment and the flexibility to learn at their own pace. Additionally, home schooling can provide the opportunity for more intensive and focused education tailored to the individual student's needs. Overall, home schooling may be an effective option for students seeking a personalised and effective approach to education.

At Education2You, we can devise a bespoke educational program to meet your child’s needs and educational requirements for schooling in your own home.

11+ Tuition

We provide bespoke 11+ tuition to help students gain entry to independent and grammar schools in Surrey. With a focus on specific school entrance exams, our experienced tutors offer personalised lessons to improve a student's chance of success. We understand that independent schools have varying admission processes, and our team ensures that students are well-equipped to excel in their chosen exam. Entrust your child's academic journey to us and we'll help them achieve their aspirations.

We also supply tutors for entrance exams at different levels for example 7+ and 13+.

Special Educational Needs

Elizabeth knows it can be incredibly isolating if your child has special educational needs and navigating the education system for your child can be challenging. She has personal experience in this area and can offer support to help you secure the right placement and education for your child.

Online Tuition

We offer remote online tuition for Maths and English.

Our experienced tutors provide interactive learning through various dedicated applications, using video calls, online whiteboards, and shared resources. Our students can receive personalised attention and engage in interactive sessions from the comfort of their own homes.
